Custom Aluminum

This is a photo of a custom designed aluminum fence we installed in the Casselberry area. A diamond pattern was used to
give the fence some interest, it was locally powder coated in a brown tone.
We wanted to show case this piece to let the public know that we can provide custom options as well as pre-fabricated aluminum fence.

Pool Fence / Reliant Fence

This is a picture of a pool fence in Windermere FL. It is an aluminum fence
installed on top of a wall via core drilling. There was a set of steps
so we ordered the gate to match the top of the fence and to reach ground
level.

This is just another example of a custom aluminum fence you
can expect from Reliant Fence.

Focusing on details is what Reliant Fence does best!

Pictured here is a 4' tall aluminum fence that transitions into a 5' tall fence. This is a custom option that is possible with aluminum fencing. The angle is achieved by using an unassembled panel and custom building and cutting each picket.

This installation can be done with any grade of aluminum fence. Call us for your next aluminum fence installation.

Reliant Fence / Aluminum V-Track gates

Reliant Fence is your fence company of choice for decorative aluminum
fence. We are writting this blog today to let the public know that we also
provide / install many types of security / entry gates.

The picture shown is an aluminum V-Track gate we installed in Leesburg FL.
This type of gate allows for a greater opening for access. The gate rolls on
nylon or steel wheels and is held up right by being sandwiched between
2 or more heavy duty posts.

The advantage to aluminum gates is that they are typically a little lighter, which
means they will be easier to move. They also stand up better in Florida's
tough outside environment.

Reliant Fence

This is a picture of a decorative steel fence from Ameristar. Earlier in the month we posted a blog about the pros and cons of steel fencing versus aluminum. If you look closely, you can see the bracket attachment of the panel post connection on the steel fence shown here.

Reliant Fence is your fence company of choice for either type of fence. Our estimators will help determine the most logical choice for your fence application. Many factors go into this decision and we are ready and willing to help!

Reliant Fence / Aluminum Fence

Typically aluminum fence panels are 6' wide and square. This makes for very
easy installation when the project layout involves straight line runs. As the
included pictures shows, with a little planning and care, an aluminum fence can
be installed on a radius. This particular picture shows the fence following the
curve of the concrete side walk.

This curve affect is accomplished by slowly curving in each panel. If the radius
is too sharp, each panel can be cut in half and another post added to achieve the
desired curvature.

installation applications. Call us for your next aluminum fence project!

Aluminum Installation by Reliant Fence

Many times the installation of a fence needs to be on top of a retaining all or along a side walk. In these types of instances, we use a technique with a special machine called a core drill. The machine uses a diamond tip bit and cuts a perfectly round hole in the concrete. The fence posts are then generally set with Quik Rok, which is a fast setting cement.

This type of fence and installation is one of the specialities of Reliant Fence. Our installers have mastered the art of this tricky installtion.
It is difficult to keep the fence plumb, straight and level in application. View our web-site to see other "core drill" jobs we have done.

Reliant Fence / Aluminum Fence

This is a commercial aluminum fence installed around a retention pond.

We are often asked how to handle grade changes in a particular piece of property.
Aluminum and vinyl fence materials are manufactured to be able to "rack", which
means come out of square to roll up and down grade changes. Notice the gradual
rise in the posted picture.

Installing fences with this method allows the fence to have a consistent distance
from the bottom of the fence to the grade level. It is what we at Reliant Fence
recommend.

The attached photo is a 6' tall vinyl privacy fence with decorative caps and a decorative gate. These types of privacy fences are considered to be maintenance free and typically come with some type of life time warranty. Please be aware of the origin of the materials you are purchasing as many of the products sold as domestic are actually imported. Many times these imported fence products are of lesser quality.

Reliant Fence uses only American made fencing products. Give us a call for your next fencing project! Our estimates are free, we will be on time, friendly and professional!

CONCRETE QUESTIONS / RELIANT FENCE, INC.

The question often comes up about concrete on fence post footers.  Does a company concrete their posts, what type of concrete is used and how much concrete is on each post?  These are all questions that a consumer has the right to know.

In Florida, many companies do not concrete wooden fence posts.  The rationale is that the concrete will eat away the wood.  We at Reliant Fence have not found that to be true.  However, wooden fences are the only type of fencing that we sometimes do not concrete.  Normally, on these types of fences, we give the customer the final say.  On all other types of fencing, we thoroughly concrete all posts.

How much concrete should you use.  A good rule of thumb for an aluminum fence is half of an 80 pound bag of concrete.  When installing a pvc privacy fence (plastic) the ideal amount is concrete is going to be around 70 to 80 pounds (one full bag).  These are just guide lines, you might find that a little less or a little more works fine for you.  Reliant Fence takes the stance that it is better to use a little more in order to make sure that the post footers are secure for a long time.

Some companies mix their own concrete.  They might use sand, rock and portland cement.  Others use a type of crushed rock material that is then mixed with portland cement.  Another option is the pre-bagged concrete that is available at a Lowe's or Home Depot stores.  What is important here is to make sure the concrete has a rating of at least 3000 psi.  Pre packaged bags from Sakrete or Quikrete all meet this standard and that is why we use them.

Another big question in the central Florida market is, should the concrete be mixed or can it be dry poured?  The fact is that both scenarios work well.  An advantage to dry pour is that there is more time to tweek a fence line in.  You must thoroughly wet the concrete once the fence line is set.

When a fence is installed by Reliant Fence, you can be sure that the footers (one of the most important structural parts  of a fence) are set securely in plenty of concrete.  Our labor warranties are for 2 years and most footer problems would be evident by that time.

Metal types

Aluminum or steel?  This is the big question many people ask when considering what kind of metal fence to purchase.

There are pros and cons to each type.  Aluminum, for instance, won't rust, making it a good choice for humid climates like Florida.  This fact is one of the major reasons aluminum fencing has become so popular in recent years.  There are many different manufacturers of aluminum fence products.  Our manufacturer of choice at Reliant Fence is Elite Fence products.  Elite is an American owned company founded in 1986, producing high quality aluminum fencing and gates for 25 years.  Many times, the costs of aluminum fencing is lower than a steel product, another pro for aluminum, and most aluminum products come with a limited lifetime warranty (they typically have a warranty on the powder coated finish and workmanship for as long as the original purchaser owns the fence).

The big plus for steel is that it is a more rigid metal, meaning it is typically stronger.  It will and does rust though.  So, this option may come with a little maintenance.  However, there is a very good steel fence manufacturer based in Tulsa, Ameristar fence products.

Reliant fence typically installs aluminum more than steel.  The pricing is right for aluminum and the local environment fits the bill for aluminum as well.

If you are in the market for a new aluminum or steel fence, give us a call, Reliant Fence, Inc.(866-851-3465) or visit our web-site:  www.reliantfence.com

Reliant Fence, Inc.

When you are considering purchasing a fence for your home of business, make sure to use an experienced and reputable company.  Ask the company for several recent references and don't be afraid to check with the BBB or other web-site's like Angie's list for reference information.

Remember, cheaper doesn't always mean better.  Often times you get what you pay for.  Make sure you are comparing apples to apples on the material quality and also on the installation.  A well built fence will be an asset to your home or business and a poor installation will be isore.

Please consider contacting us at Reliant Fence, Inc. for you next fence project.  Our estimates are free of charge and our final product / installations can't be beat.  Check us out on the web at www.reliantfence.com or call 407-579-7486.
